Background
The rapid urbanization and indoctrination in the State has improved the living status of the people but at the same time the rapid degradation on environment and health of a common man has caused a major problem.
The people’s and Institution’s participation is a welcome thought in this Welfare Sector to solve this problem of lack of health facilities. Madhya Pradesh is large producer of Tobacco leaves and use of tobacco and allied drugs are much more common number which results into diseases like cancer. Cancer patient is the most needy person who needs care treatment and moral support. Hence a good cancer hospital is a must in this area.
The state is having about 1000 hospitals but there is lack of facilities of treatment due to ever increasing number of cancer patients.
Shri Paramhans Charitable Cancer Hospital and Research Centre is being constructed by Shrimati Kaushaliya Raj Nawani Cancer Nivaran Samiti at Jabalpur district in the State of Madhya Pradesh, India. Jabalpur is situated on Mumbai-Kolkata-UP-Bihar route. It is linked by broad gauge Railway line. The construction of above Cancer Hospital is rather justified and Good cancer hospital is a must within the region of 300 kms. of Jabalpur.
The Samiti has purchased appx. 8 Acers (64000Sq, Meters) land for the Cancer Hospital in the village Lamhetaghat, Gopalpur, a holy place on the bank of the sacred river “Maa Narmada”. The site is situated on the link road on national highways NH 7 (Jabalpur –Nagpur) and NH 12 (Jabalpur – Bhopal).
ANCIENT IMPORTANCE OF MAA NARMADA & LAMHETAGHAT
Old historical version is that the Narmada River is an ancient river among all other rivers. Geographic experts have found Lamheta Ghat Rock stone on the bank of River Narmada.
